Where is The Sinclair located?

How do I get there?
The best way to get to The Sinclair is by public transportation. Take the Red Line to Harvard Square. There are also multiple bus routes available. For more information visit www.mbta.com.

By Car – From the Massachusetts Turnpike (Mass Pike) RT.90, East and Westbound. Take Exit 18 (Allston or Brighton / Cambridge) Go through toll booth ($1.00) & bear right towards Cambridge, then get into far left far left lane at the set of traffic lights. At the 2ndtraffic light (before the bridge across from the Doubletree Guest Suite Hotel) turn left onto Storrow Drive; Soldiers Field Road; exit at Harvard Square. Turn right to cross the bridge. You will be on JFK Street headed into Harvard Square.

From The South – Heading north on Route 93 take the Mass Pike –See above

From The North – (I-93 South):
Heading south on Route 93 exit onto Storrow Drive west. Take Harvard Square/Cambridge exit, turn right and proceed over bridge and across Memorial Drive onto JFK Street and into Harvard Square.

How can I get tickets to a show at The Sinclair?
You can purchase tickets online by clicking the “tickets” icon on any show page on our site or over the phone by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. Tickets are also sold in person at the no-fee box office located at The Sinclair every Tuesday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. If tickets do not sell out in advance, they will be sold at the door on the night of the show beginning when doors open. Please note: box office is cash only.

How can I get tickets to Bowery Boston shows that are not at The Sinclair?
For shows at Royale or Great Scott, tickets can be purchased at The Sinclair box office during regular hours or when the box office is open at night for shows. Tickets for these two venues are also available at Tickmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. For other venues like TT the Bear’s, The Middle East,  Cafe 939, etc. each individual venue maintains its own ticketing and box office hours. Tickets are not necessarily sold through Ticketmaster or at the Sinclair box offices. Please check our website to see where tickets are available or feel free to email info@boweryboston.com if you have further questions about ticket availability.

Where do I find set times for shows at The Sinclair?
Set times vary depending on show and we do not have them until the day of show. That being said, they will always be posted on show nights on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Generally, the times listed on the website are door times and the show will begin 30-60 minutes after the time listed, depending on the number of acts playing.

If a show is canceled, where do I get a refund?
If a show is canceled, refunds are available at point of purchase. You will be refunded automatically if you purchased a ticket through Ticketmaster. Please note openers are always subject to change.

What are my payment options in the venue?
The box office is CASH ONLY. At the bars located within the venue cash is king but we accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. There are many banks and ATMs nearby.

How old do I have to be to get into The Sinclair?
Age minimums vary from show to show. You must present a government issued I.D. if you are 21+ and plan on drinking alcohol. Security is present at every show to verify your age.

What if the show is 18+, may anyone under the age of 18 enter?
If you are under the age of 18 you may enter an 18+ show, but you MUST be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian. This does not apply for 21+ shows, where you MUST be 21 and over to enter.

Do I need to bring ID?
Yes! Government issued photo ID is required.

I have a blog. Do I count as Press?
Maybe, but don’t ask us. The Bowery Presents doesn’t issue press passes or photo passes. All press inquires should be directed to the band’s publicist, label or management.

Can I get in for free?
Maybe, but what are you going to do for us? Relationships are a two-way street. We are always in search of street-teamers and folks to flyer. We can also offer you free admission if you’re named Larry Bird, Bobby Orr, Carl Yastrezemski or Tom Brady.

Can I bring my camera?
Photo policy varies for different artists and is usually not determined until day of show. You can bring a nonprofessional camera to most shows, and you can inquire about the photo policy at the door or call 617-547-5200 on the day of show. If you are Mick Rock, please send us copies.

Do you have a Coat Check?
All of our venues have a coat check, but The Bowery Presents encourages you to dress scandalously in the winter months. When in doubt, remember that it’s fashion before comfort.

Can I smoke at The Sinclair?

No. No. No. Did we say no? Because we meant NO. Per Massachusetts state law, there is a strict no-smoking policy inside The Sinclair. Re-entry policies vary based on the show.

Is there re-entry?
Absolutely not! There is no re-entry to all clubs and all exits are final, (excluding the smoking area).

Is there a dress code?
Shirt & shoes required! Otherwise, for concerts, there is no dress code whatsoever.

Where do I park?
There is no designated parking at The Sinclair. There is metered street parking in the neighborhood around the venue. There are also various parking lots in the surrounding areas. We should be getting a deal at the Harvard Square Garage, stay tuned.

Can I book my band at The Sinclair?
The vast majority of the acts that play here select their own support acts and bring them on tour with them. We rarely have the opportunity to add other bands to the bill. But feel free to email info@boweryboston.com with information about your band (links to music, press clips, where else they’ve played in Boston, etc) because you never know!

How do I book a private event at The Sinclair?
To book a private event at The Sinclair please email events@sinclaircambridge.com with the answers to the following questions:

  • Briefly describe the nature of the event
  • How many people will you be expecting?
  • Will you need to set up tables/chairs/ etc?
  • Will you require bar service?
  • Will you need food/catering?
  • Will you be booking a band / require a house audio engineers

Other RULES & FAQs for The Sinclair
:

  • Tickets purchased in front of the venue are usually counterfeit and admittance will be denied.
  • No fliers, stickers, handbills.
  • You will be ejected for throwing ANYTHING, even your momma.
  • If you lose an item at a show, please email info@sinclaircambridge.com the following day.
  • All bags are subject to search. 
No markers, spray paint, weapons (includes pocket knives). Unicorns are welcome.
  • The majority of our shows are general admission, standing room only. Designated seating for persons with disabilities is available, our staff is happy to facilitate, feel free to contact with any questions.  If you need an assistive listening device, please contact the box office at 617-547-5200 at least 2 days in advance and bring a credit card for deposit while the device is being used.
  • You must show proof of age by government issued photo ID and obtain a wristband to be served at the bar.
