As one of the top chefs in the country, Michael Schlow has helped shape Boston’s restaurant landscape since moving here from New York City in 1995. Owning and operating six restaurants—Radius, Alta Strada (one in Wellesley and another at MGM Foxwoods in Connecticut), Via Matta, Happy’s Bar & Kitchen and Tico, which was named Best New Restaurant by Esquire—his culinary repertoire ranges from modern French to authentic Italian to Latin-influenced. And in addition to being a successful restaurateur and the celebrated author of It’s About Time, the Boston staple has won the James Beard Award for Best Chef in the Northeast while still finding time to make numerous appearances on TV shows like Good Morning America, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Top Chef Masters and The Today Show.
