LA’s fiery heavy rock band letlive. have officially signed to Epitaph Records with plans to release their album Fake History on April 12. The band has posted their kinetic high energy track “The Sick, Sick, 6.8 Billion” on their MySpace and released a jaw-dropping performance video that can be found here. Starting today fans can pre-order the album at www.kingsroadmerch.com/letlive/region.

Channeling the frantic intensity of The Blood Brothers, awe inspiring sonic complexity of At the Drive In, unrestrained emotion of Glassjaw and industrial strength hardcore of Refused, letlive. inject new blood into the cutting edge indie-post-hardcore style with their record Fake History. The band has joined renowned Los Angeles punk rock label Epitaph to release their third studio album.

“When thinking of Epitaph Records I affix Bad Religion, Atmosphere, and the reawakening of the the late great Refused to those thoughts (an impressively unorthodox composition in my eyes),” says vocalist Jason Aalon Butler. “Now I think of letlive. to be included amongst that lineage. Pipe dreams realized, ladies and gentlemen.”

Consisting of Butler (vocals), Jean Nascimento (guitar), Jeff Sahyoun (guitar), Anthony Rivera (drums) and Ryan Jay Johnson (bass), the band has been building a reputation for themselves in the Los Angeles hardcore scene. With their eclectic arsenal of influences, letlive. take heavy music to new heights with dynamic song-writing, blistering and precise rhythms, hook loaded metal riffs and Butler’s remarkable ability to balance cathartic screams and melodic vocals.

Commenting on his band’s sound, Butler says they are “a punk rock band with a soul band's modus operandi. Vice versa.”

Fake History exudes a youthful swagger and power. The album’s opener, “Le Prologue,” begins with tribal drums that give way to an outburst of thundering riffs and defiant vocals with front-man Butler exclaiming “There are no martyrs in resolution. If you remain still, don't expect restitution. Stand up!”

The band’s most notable gift lies is in their songwriting with tracks like “The Sick, Sick, 6.8 Billion,” “Renegade ’86,” “Casino Columbus” and “Muther,” which strikes a pitch perfect balance of sonic aggression and unforgettable melodic choruses.

Epitaph’s release of Fake History will include three brand new tracks “Hollywood, And She Did,” “Lemon Party” and the Brett Gurewitz (president & founder of Epitaph, guitarist for Bad Religion) produced track “This Mime [A Sex Symbol].”

“We released an album in the ides of April in 2010 with 11 tracks of which we were genuinely proud of,” Butler adds. “This year, in April, we are rereleasing that album with 14 tracks we are even more proud of. We did this for you.”

After fighting their way to the top of the Los Angeles hardcore scene, letlive. is now poised to emerge as one of the most exciting and important bands of 2011.
HRVRD
HRVRD
Originally a post-hardcore band in its infancy, North Carolina's Harvard has evolved into an emotionally captivating and enthralling group of musical artists. That word is important and requires stressing: artists. Because art is the driving force behind everything Harvard strives to achieve. Each song is a color or stroke across the canvas that is their debut release, The Inevitable and I, on Enjoy The Ride records. The musical landscape they create is shaped with cascading guitar melodies churning beneath soft, yet fervent, vocal croons. Their songs are sculpted and woven together meticulously to evoke a personal response from the listener. And their craft is not relegated to the passive listening experience of a travel soundtrack or the background drone found at any social function. It transcends these and culminates in a live spectacle fueled as much by passion and human sweat as it is the desire and ache to share it; because it is what they love. That's what artists do.
This Is Hell
This Is Hell
This Is Hell are a Long Island, New York-based hardcore band. The band is known for extensive touring and high energy concerts. To date, the band has released three studio albums, and four EPs.
Conditions
Conditions
Making a claim of performing a countless number of shows, while on face value may seem noteworthy, does not necessarily speak to the impact a band is able to make while on the road. Seemingly, since the beginning of rock and roll a band could pack themselves in a van and stay out there as long as their heart and soul could endure countless trucks stops and sub par accommodations. So when it is noted that the band Conditions have played over 200 shows it is certainly a testament to their commitment. Perhaps more impressive though, is the tangible payoff and direct impact this band has been making worldwide while grinding it out show after show. Conditions have sold over 16,000 digital songs and over 3,000 CDs on their own as independent artists. They have shared stages in the US and Europe with the likes of Paramore, New Found Glory, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Good Charlotte. They have earned themselves spots on the Vans Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, Bamboozle Festival, and SXSW Music Conference. This Richmond, Virginia band attributes much of their current success to experiences they all went through playing in previous bands dating back to their high school days. Touring at such a young age has provided invaluable lessons that are still carried with them to this day. While learning from past mistakes may be paying off in the present, all the wisdom in the world will not make up for a lack of quality songs.

It does not take but one listen to the music of Conditions to quickly understand why they have been able to make fast and lasting impressions on fans. They write songs that are instantly accessible to a listener without any dilution of heart or lack of hard cutting edge. Their commanding stage presence and airtight musicianship during live performances emits a vibrant and impassioned spirit. It is this rare mix of charisma and chops that has allowed Conditions to amass a loyal and supportive fan base from swooning teen pop fans to discerning older rock fans. Those fans purchased 4,000 songs off of their You Are Forgotten EP in the first month of its release. It is exactly that type of zealous fan reaction that has caught the eye of media outlets nationwide. The Alternative Press recently proclaimed the band as one of their "100 bands you need to know in 2010".

2010 is indeed looming large for Conditions. Their brand new full-length album, "Fluorescent Youth", is set to be released on September 14th through Good Fight Music. The songs are steeped in hard rock with an infusion of heart felt pop. Track after track finds towering hook laden choruses fit to reign on radio's airwaves. The vocal prowess of Conditions is on full display as engaging 3-part harmonies sing songs of life, love, and hope. The depth and substance of the lyrical content will assure these high powered pop rock anthems resonate with fans on an authentic and meaningful level. "Fluorescent Youth" is the sure fired vehicle that will skyrocket Conditions into the next strata of stardom.
Rescuer
Rescuer
Rescuer was formed as a result of years of close friendship and a common vision. Vocalist JP Marra and drummer Chris Krause went to grade school together; after touring and performing with several other acts, they teamed up with fellow Tampa Bay musicians Danny Quinlan (guitar), Evan Miller (bass), and Michael Gorgen (guitar). The 5 piece had met while attending local shows and after forming Rescuer, wasted no time making a name for themselves in their hometown. Pooling their collective influences from bands like Envy, Modern Life Is War, and City of Caterpillar, Rescuer has formed their own brand of hardcore that feels not just fresh, but truly ambitious. They will release their Rise Records debut "With Time Comes The Comfort" later this year.
